A letter to the old me

Hey. It’s me.

You don’t know me yet, but I’m the person you’re going to become in five years.

Tonight you made a choice to survive. You made a choice to trust that God had bigger plans for you than to end your life as a 15 year old.

I know it was one of the hardest choices you had ever had to make, but I promise it’s worth it. Things are still going to be hard for a while. In fact, if I’m going to be completely honest with you, things are always pretty hard for everyone. Plus, you like challenges and that’s not something that will ever change. Settling In.


Week two.

Now that the newness has worn off, I’ve been able to settle in and really get a feel for life here at YWAM Honolulu. God continues to move in massive ways in my heart and life every single day without fail and I am certain that He will continue to do so. I keep expecting to get a pang of homesickness, but God has been so faithful in keeping my heart fixed on what lies ahead. Continue reading
